Will of ELEANOR NEWCOMER,  Book 3, page 294,  1858

In the name of God, Amen.  I, Eleanor Newcomer, of Tyrone Township,
Fayette County, Pennsylvania, being sick and weak in body, but of
sound mind, memory and understanding, (praise be God for it)
considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time
thereof, and to the end I may be better prepared to leave this world
whenever it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and
declare this my last will and testament in manner following, that is
to say, I order that all my just debts funeral expenses and charges
of proving this my will be in the first place fully paid and
satisfied and after payment thereof and every part thereof, I will
and devise that all my tract of land on which I now reside, situated
in Tyrone Township, County and State aforesaid, be sold by my
executor after my death, in as full and legal a manner as if I were
yet living and all the rest, residue and remainder of my goods,
chattels, debts, ready-money, effects and other my estate ,
whatsoever and wheresoever found be sold by my executor, embracing my
real estate above mentioned and I will and devise that the same and
every part thereof, be divided and disposed of among my heirs in the
following manner - viz, to be divided in two and a half shares -- one
full share to be given to the lawful heirs of my brother Daniel
Gallatin, deceased. One full share to my brother Samuel Gallatin -
and one half-share to my sister's daughter - Eleanor Orbin, the above
division to be so construed as to embrace and include the whole of my
estate, both real and personal and mixed; and I do hereby nominate,
constitute and appoint James N. McDonald of Tyrone Township, Fayette
Co., PA executor of this my will and declare this to be my last will
and testament. In witness whereof I the said testator have to this my
last will and testament set my hand and seal the twenty sixth day of
December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and
    fifty-seven.    /s/ Eleanor Newcomer (Seal)
Signed sealed, published and declared by the said testator as and for
her last will and testament in the presence of us, who in her
presence and at there request, and in the presence of each other,
have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.   /s/ Joseph Cunningham

    Samuel Gallatin
