Text	BETHEL CHURCH of CHRIST CEM.-------------UPPER TYRONE TWP. To find it take the Everson exit off RT 119 North of Connellsville. Go to Everson, turn left, toward Dawson, after crossing bridge, Continue 3 and 7 tenths miles, to Bethel Church Road, turn right. Cemetery is 4/10 mile on right. Large 6 foot high stone at entrance of cemetery reads "This tablet marks the site of the Bethel Church of Christ. First built of stone 1845, rebuilt of frame 1880, removed 1928. To find it start in the viliage of Smithton, Pa. From Rt 981 turn onto
Jacobs Creek Rd.,
continue about 1 milto to Jacobs Creek Post Office. Continue about 2 /
10 mile , cemetery
and church on left. Many stones in poor shape. Many sunken places,
apparent graves with no
markers. Recorded 10- 22- 2000 and 10-29- 2000.

To find it take the Everson exit off RT 119 North of Connellsville. Go to Everson,

Large 6 foot high stone at entrance of cemetery reads

To find it take Broadford road out of Connellsville, Pa. go past
Broadford to Owensdale. Just before you leave Owensdale turn left
on Woods Rd. Just past house on left you will see a pull over on right.
Cemetery is up bank on left.

There are several illegible and unmarked stones and apparent unmarked graves.

RIST CEMETERY ------------------UPPER TYRONE TWP.

To find it take Broad Ford Rd.off RT 119, out of Connellsville, continue
to the intersection of Narrows Rd. Go about 9 tenths of a mile , you are
going down Broad Ford Hill, you will see knoll and a pullover on left.
Park and walk through briers to top of knoll to cemetery. This cemetery
was partially destroyed many years ago when the old road was put in.
There are bases for stones sliding over the bank , but no stones, where
the old road was. This is what I found.

STRICKLER CEMETERY. UPPER TYRONE TWP.

I may have posted this before I really got into this cemetery hunting. But
to be sure, here it is. This is the old Strickler Cem. It is located on the
river hill about 1 mile from the Hickory Square Church To find it take RT 119
North out of Connellsville, PA. Just as you are leaving town you will see a
Advance Auto parts store on right, just before it you turn left across a
small bridge. You are headed to Broadford. Stay on this road, you will go
down a steep hill with several curves. At the bottom you will cross railroad
tracks. The main road turns to right you will see a road to the left going up
a hill. Turn left up hill, about 3/10 af a mile you will see a road to left
(Valley Road) turn on to it. Go abt. 2/10 mile until you see a field on
left, on a curve. Stop walk up bank to field, on top of hill to right you
will see a point of woods running out into the field about 1/2 mile away.
This is where the cemetery is. Walk around the edge of field to get to it.

This cemetery is surrounded by a 4 foot stone wall is grown up with trees 1
foot in, and blackberry briars. There are several unmarked field stones,
some stones on the ground possibly some buried in leaves and brush.

To find it take the Everson exit off RT 119 North of Connellsville. Go
to Everson, turn left, toward Dawson, after crossing bridge, Continue 2
and 8 tenths miles, you will see sign for Tyrone Presbyerian Church on
left. Turn left cemetery is 1 tenth mile on left. There are many broken
and down stones. I was told many stones are missing. This is what I found.
