Janet L. Geschwind
Janet L. Geschwind, age 74 of Massillon, died Friday, August 15th at Meadow Wind Health Care Center. Her death followed a lengthy illness. She was born on August 26, 1928 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Edward and Vida (Gallatin) Lewis. She was a lifelong area resident. Janet was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Peace Circle and was a Sunday School Secretary. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary #3124 where she served many offices and was the treasurer for 26 years. She was an avid Massillon Tiger Football fan and Cleveland Indian fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Geschwind in 1989 and her brother, David Lewis. She is survived by her daughters, Mary L. Griest of Ashland, OH, Linda L. (Paul) Camarata of Massillon and Wilma L. (Russell) Maxhimer of Massillon, five grandchildren, Tara J. Griest, Justin W. Griest, Melissa M. Camarata, Nicole M. Maxhimer and Emily R. Maxhimer; her sister, Margaret Culbertson and her brother, Edward W. Lewis. Funeral services will conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Kubichek officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. 729 Lincoln Way East on Monday from 6-8 PM and on Tuesday at the church from 10-11:00 A.M.
